The Department of the Indian Languages of our college in collaboration with Entertainment Society of Goa, Government of Goa recently organised sponsored by Dempo Charities Trust on 15^th and 16^thMarch, 2019 at Maquinez Palace, Panaji  on the theme ‘Konkani Cinema: Ek Nadar, Ek Vallakh’.

The main objective of organising this Seminar was to highlight the current scenario on the horizon of Konkani Cinema. The Seminar, held as part of content generation for the newly implemented Skill Enhancement Course on Film Appreciation and Film Production, aimed to bring together renowned members of the film fraternity, academicians, critics, researchers, scholars and students together on one platform in order to ideate and initiate critical dialogues in the field of Konkani filmmaking and production – an area that has been carving landmark niches in present times. National Award Winning Director Shri Rajendra Talak was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker for Inaugural Ceremony. Eminent Konkani versatile Writer Mr. Pundalik Naik was the Guest of Honour while Dr. Priyanka Bidaye Talak  graced the Valedictory ceremony with her distinguished presence as Chief Guest and Dr. Meenacshi Martins as the Guest of Honour.

The Seminar was guided by eminent Resource Persons including 20 Local and 04 Outstation Resource Persons. The Seminar was benefitted by 107 people. Mrs. Anju Sakhardande was the Convenor of the seminar.
