One Day National Level Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights was organised on 8th March, 2019 at Dhempe College of Arts & Science, Goa. It was sponsored by Dempo Charities Trusts, Goa. It was organised by Political Science Department.
It was scheduled as concluding part of the International Conference on Nano-material for Environmental Applications, 6-7 March, 2019 for the participants. The aims and objectives were to throw light on Intellectual Property Rights and the its various categories and laws; to generate awareness about the patent rights and technicality related to it; to enlighten faculty and research scholars about copy rights; to clarify the doubts related to Plagiarism and how to deal with issues related to it; to give knowledge and practice session on the above.
The concept note was given by Dr. Ketan Goverkar, HoD, Political Science Department.
The program had resource persons like Shalini Menezes, Qualified Lawyer, Patent & Trademark Attorney with technical background in physics and biophysics, and training with particular emphasis on Corporate & IPR/IP Management. She educated the audience on Copy right in an Academic set up.
