The Department of Economics launched its Student Activity Club, ‘Smith’sonian’ on 14^th August 2019. The club, which is presently 38-member strong, is a multipronged initiative of the Department to provide a forum for students to discuss various socio-economic issues as well as come together towards ideating innovative events. The Inaugural of the Club featured the distinguished presence of Dr. Manoj Kamat, Principal of Mallikarjun College of Arts and Commerce. His insightful talk on career guidance for the students of Economics opened newer vistas to the gathering about the various opportunities available to learners after pursuing studies in Economics.
