The Department of Botany & Economics in association with Goa State Horticultural Corporation Ltd., Directorate of Agriculture & Zonal office, Bank of India conducted a two day workshop on “Prospects for export of vegetables by Goan Farmers”. Total 100 farmers and 120 students attended the workshop. The resource persons were from Department of Agriculture & Goa state Horticultural corporation Ltd., exporters, faculty of Dhempe College of Arts and Science. Workshop was inaugurated on 27^th August 2018 at the hands of Shri. Subhash Phadte, Deputy Manager, Zonal office Bank of India at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall. The valedictory function was held on 28^th August 2018. Shri. Vijai Sardesai, Minister for Agriculture was the Chief Guest. Shri. Pravin Zantye, Chairman GSHCL was Guest of Honour, Mrs. Pallavi Dempo, Trustee DCT presided the function. Also present were Shri. Nelson Figueiredo, Director, Directorate of Agriculture, Mr. Madhav Kelkar, MD, GSHCL and Dr. Vrinda Borker, Principal, Dhempe College ,of Arts and Science.
