This course deals with introduction to all the igneous rocks with respect to their mineral composition, textures, structures, mode of occurrence and genesis.
Metamorphic petrology covers the chemical and physical work done in natural systems in response to changing physical conditions. Petrogenetic processes such as recrystallization, continuous and discontinuous reactions, mixed volatile reactions and deformation are addressed.
In this course students learn the concepts and geological applications in remote sensing with an emphasis on aerial photography.
