The Department of Psychology & Counselling Cell of DCT’s Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar, observed World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September 2025 under the aegis of the National Task Force on Mental Health in Higher Education Institutions.
With the theme “Creating Hope Through Action”, the program included:
Reel-making competition on hope & awareness Yellow ribbon solidarity activity Inspiring talk by Ms. Crystal Ribeiro (Support Worker, Dublin Simon Community, Ireland) on Psychological Skills for Crisis Support Short movie screening & Wall of Hope activity Demonstration of Psychological First AidThe event spread a strong message of empathy, resilience, and solidarity, encouraging students to support one another and prioritize mental health
