Four faculty members from the Department of Geology — Dr Raghav Gadgil, Dr Manoj Ibrampurkar, Ms Vinita Mayenkar, and Ms Karuna Suralkar — successfully participated in the Five-Day Residential Workshop on Theory and Practical Training on Sophisticated Analytical Techniques in Geology held from 16th to 20th February 2026 at the Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Bombay.
The workshop provided intensive hands-on exposure to advanced analytical facilities including ICP-MS, LA-ICPMS, EPMA, XRD, and allied geochemical laboratories. The training strengthened our technical understanding of high-precision elemental and isotopic analyses, instrumental calibration, data reduction protocols, and real-time laboratory workflows.
The program was sponsored by the Goa State Research Foundation, Government of Goa, supporting capacity building in advanced geoscientific research.
