Skill Development Courses Cell

The establishment of the Value Addition / Skill Development Courses Cell forms part of the larger endeavour of the institution which focuses on skill enhancement of its students. The cell conducts various 30 plus- hour courses to impart added knowledge of a subject besides the regular academic syllabus which can be useful to the student in the future. The attempt is also to encourage students to complete courses which are outside the purview of their subject so as to develop all-round personality development as well as employability.

Objectives: 

  • To develop the innate abilities of students in skills pertaining to technical, soft and life-skills 
  • To instil entrepreneurial skills among students 
  • To enhance the understanding of academic syllabi that the students have opted for
  • To expose students to new skills and newer areas for study

Expected Outcomes:

It is expected that students opting for Skill Development Courses would be:

  • Better positioned for employability.
  • Prepared to become entrepreneurs thereby reducing the pressure of unemployment.
  • More likely to be well-rounded individuals with a good blend of academic, soft and life-skills.
