‘Intra-global learning’ has become the watchword of 21st century academia. An enhanced awareness that processes of teaching-learning in any discipline cannot remain antiseptically quarantined from major developments occurring pan-globe has led to an increase in interactions and interfaces between major learning cultures across the world. This, in turn, has reinforced the need for good communication making language training an integral part of modern-day education and the employment sector.

In its continual association with industry and government bodies in Goa, the institution has realised that lack of good communication among prospective employees becomes a major roadblock in the process of recruitment. Although equipped with domain knowledge, job-aspirants, even those with nodal educational qualifications, are unable to communicate ideas, express opinions or carry out correspondence at various levels due to an acute lack of language-skills. As a result, the employing institution experiences a drop in the standard of work and has to thereby incur huge amount of expenses on quality control and enhancement.

In order to address this persisting lacuna, the institution has established a Digital Language Laboratory and Skill Development Centre (DLLSDC) equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, meaningful technological intervention through software solutions and core faculty committed to language-enhancement in the state of Goa. DLLSDC endeavours to extend these services to educational institutions, industry and government bodies through intensive courses curated and customised to meet the needs of specific learner-groups.
