Alumni
The Institution has also appointed an Alumni Committee comprising of staff members who are alumni of Dhempe College. The Committee perform the following duties:
- Hold meetings to chalk out the plan for the academic year
- Ensure that the graduating batch enrol themselves into the Alumni Association of the institution and also orient the new members on the working of the association and help them understand different ways in which they could engage with the institution.
- Work closely with experts who are the alumni of the institution so as to provide the current batch of students with interactive sessions. The alumni are invited as guest lecturers, resource persons, judges for intra and inter-collegiate events.
- Work towards optimal utilisation of the alumni resource both financial and non- financial productively for the benefit of the students.

Career Talks and Exam Preparation
- The Department of Geology organised a talk on ‘Careers in Geoscience’ for Geology students by Ashish Gadgil, Geologist at Schlumburger, Australia and alumnus of the department.
- The Alumni Association along with Department of Geology, organised a guest lecture titled “Dhempeite to an Entrepreneur” which was delivered by Rajshekhar Kudupali, alumnus, Gold mine Prospector based in Tanzania.
- Department of Biotechnology organized a talk on ‘Time management and exam preparation’ by Preethi Poduval.

- Department of Biotechnology organized a talk on ‘Expedition to the Arctic, Antarctic and the Himalayas’ by Rakesh Rao from EnScitec Production.
- Department of Geology organized a lecture on ‘Global Mine Scenario’ for their students by Rajshekhar Kudupali, Gold Mine Prospector, Tanzania.
- A talk on “How to learn & Remember Periodic Table” by Dr. S.P Kamat, Retired Professor in Organic Chemistry, Goa University was organized by Department of Chemistry
- Department of Biotechnology organized a session on Flower arrangement by Daniel D’Souza, a landscape designer/ horticulturist based in Goa.
- A lecture on ‘Mudlogging’ was conducted for students of Geology by alumnus Juber Khan, Data Analyst Geoservices, Schlumberger Middle East Asia Pvt. Ltd. UAE.
- As part of the SDP, the Department of English organised a Special Session on ‘Social Etiquette towards Effective Communication’ by Dr. Cidalia Bodade – Founder Panache and Communication expert.
- Under “Bridging the Gap”, the industry academia-interface of Department of English, two talks were held: 1) Ashwini Priolker, Senior Correspondent, Bloomberg Quint
2) Lester D’Souza, All India Radio, Panaji.
- Department of Philosophy organized a self-defense course of 30 hours by Arjun Kadam, a trained Judo Coach.
- Orientation program for T.Y. students of Department of Economics was conducted by Kimberly Noronha and Meena Safaei.
Webinars
- Department of Physics organised a National level webinar on “Career Opportunities beyond Borders after graduation” on 27th June 2020 to explore new opportunities available in India and across the world for the B.Sc. students.
Alumni of Dhempe College Mr. Anjan Gopishetty, Cold Chain Solution Manager EMEA at Envirotainer AB, Frankfurt, Germany, and Ms. Michelle Rodrigues Research Scholar, Quantum Solid State Physics (QSP) at KU Leuven, Belgium were invited to share their experience with budding students across the Country.

- The Department of Physics organized a talk on ‘Opportunities for higher education in Japan’; by alumna Rashmi Sarode on 5th January 2019.
- The Department of Zoology organized a talk ‘Deciding the right path’ featuring alumnus Mr. Ashish Shah as the Resource Person on 16th January, 2019.
- The Department of Psychology organized a lecture on 24th August 2018 on the topic ‘Career opportunities in Human Resource Management’ for the SYBA and TYBA students by alumnus, Mr. Keegan Furtado, Senior Executive, Talent Engagement at Prestige and Adjunct Faculty at Christ University.
- The Department of Psychology organized an interaction of the TYBA students with 06 alumni on 22nd December 2018 to discuss career avenues.
- Orientation programmes for T.Y. students of the Department of Economics were conducted on 9th December 2018 and 15th February 2019 with alumni – Ms. Charmaine Lobo and Ms. Veerani Naik as Resource Persons.
- Alumni Greta D’Souza and Lester D’Souza were invited to guide students of TYBA for the GU-ART in English.

- The State-level Quiz Competition ‘Mathematica 1.0’ was organized by the Department of Mathematics in association with their Alumni on 16th February, 2019.

- Alumna Asst. Professor Pearl D’Souza was invited to deliver a lecture on mental health by the Department of Bio-technology on 28th September, 2018.
- A 30-hour Skill Development course in ‘Latex – Mathematical Typesetting’ was conducted by the Department of Mathematics for students of T.Y.B.Sc. with alumna Akshita Singh as the Resource Person.
- Alumnus ShashankVerma, entrepreneur was invited for an Android course organized by the Department of Computer Science.
- Culinary entrepreneur Alumna Vandana Sardesai was invited to interact with the students on 20th August, 2018.

- Film ‘Pranacharya’ directed by alumnus Shri Dharmanand Vernekar produced by Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa released on 1st September, 2018.
- Alumna Ms. Iwona D’Souza, Department of History released a book titled ‘Journeying through History’ on 13th April, 2019.
- Alumna Ms. Atisha Surlikar, Department of Indian Languages released a book titled ‘Paimvato’- an Anthology of Poems on 17thMarch 2019.

- Antara Bhide was invited as a Guest Speaker on the topic ‘Dubbing and voice Over’ for the Konkani and Marathi students of FYBA on 13 July, 2017.
- Tanvi Kamat Bambolkar, actor from the award winning ‘Enemy’, and Yashila Lobo and Melvin Gracias, post graduate students at Goa University, were invited as judges for the annual Carpe Diem event organised by the Department of English on 20 July, 2017.
- Palia Pandit, Assistant Professor in English, Dhempe College of Arts and Science, was invited a a judge for a Poster Competition on the theme of ‘Green Day’ on 28 July, 2017.
- Jessica Sharma and Priyanka Verekar were invited as judges for the poetry recitation competition ‘Voice It Out’ on Performance Poetry, organised by the Department of English on 21 August, 2017.
- Vallabh Dhaimodkar, along with his team, rendered their services for the Anaemia Detection Camp which was held on 19, 21 and 26 September, 2017. The camp was sponsored by Goa Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association.
- A. V. Salkar, Dept. Of Chemistry, Goa University was invited by the Department of Chemistry to deliver a talk on ‘Atmospheric Environment and Behaviour’ to TYBSc Chemistry students on 21 September, 2017.
- Two alumni namely, Mr. Swapnesh Gawde and Mr. Namiket Salgaonkar, were part of a short film on suicide prevention on 28 September, 2017.
- Antonio Gomes was invited to deliver a special lecture on the topic ‘Building Bridges: Insights into the Job Market’ as part of the GALF Outreach Program organised by the Department of English on 7 December, 2017.
- Advocate Auro Oliveira was invited to give a talk on ‘Human Rights’ on World Human Rights Day, under the aegis of NSS Program, on 10 December, 2017.
- Kevin D’Mello, Ms. Jessica Sharma, Ms. Kavya Sudarsan and Ms. Indrayanee Patkar were invited to be a part of Fun Week 2017 on 14 December, 2017.
- Sajith Pillai, the Police Sub-Inspector of Fatorda Police Station, was invited as the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session of the Annual Intercollegiate Sports Event – EBULLIENCE 2018 on 24 February, 2018.
- Ajay Vaidya was invited as a judge for the intercollegiate poetry competition held on 27 February, 2018 as a part of Marathi Day program. He also recited poems by Kusumagraj.
- As part of International Women’s Day celebration, a talk on ‘Press for Progress’ was conducted by the Department of Biotechnology in collaboration with Charitable Trust Help India on 17 March, 2018. Ms. Jessica Sharma, Freelance Anchor and Host was invited as the Guest Speaker.
- Under the Personality Enhancement Program, Mr. Rakesh Rao, film-maker, was invited to deliver a talk on ‘Science in Field’ on 21 March, 2018.
- Gajanan Parab, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, was invited as a resource person for a Non-Conventional Course for T.Y.B.Sc. Mathematics students in Latex.
- Sawani Shetye was invited to deliver a talk cum presentation on ‘Introduction and Scope of Cultural Heritage Management’ on 28 March, 2018.

- Sawani Shetye was invited to deliver a talk cum presentation on Introduction to Archaeology on 17 August, 2016.
