The Department of Mathematics organized a Research Paper Presentation Competition in Mathematics for the undergraduate students of Goa on 10/2/2024 under College Star DBT Scheme. The objective of the competition was to promote research in Mathematics among the college students. Nine teams participated in the competition. Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College And Research Centre, Assagao won the first place, DCTs Dhempe College of Arts and Science on the Second place and Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim were placed third.

The keynote speakers and judges for the event were Dr Tarkeshar Singh, Professor, Department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani Goa and Dr Mailattu Kunhanandan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Goa University. Dr Tarkekshar Singh delivered a talk on ‘Some
Combinatorial Proof Techniques’ and Dr M. Kunhanandan delivered a talk on ‘Recounting the Ratioals’.
