Smitesh Talawadekar from Terra Hydrotech Services, Vasco and an Alumni of the Department of Geology, DCTs Dhempe College of Arts and Science, delivered a talk on Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Geology for our FY, SY and TY students. He identified a business opportunity niche in the Hydrogeology sector in Goa and has now rapidly expanded his services.
Along with his sector, he also emphasized opportunities in Geological mapping using GIS techniques, environmental assessments, risk management and mining geology. The students were enriched with a lot of knowledge of the jobs availability.
