On 4 March 2026, the Department of Geology at Dhempe College of Arts and Science hosted an engaging career guidance lecture by Juber Khan, a 2010 BSc alumnus of the college. The session was attended by 42 students (18 males and 24 females). He spoke about career opportunities in the oil and gas industry, the importance of IIT-JAM, strong knowledge of stratigraphy and sedimentary geology, and skills like GIS with Python. He also demonstrated oil-stain identification on limestone and displayed fossil samples. Spot prizes were awarded to Shweta Ojha, Aakash Satoskar, Darius Pinto and G R Chandrakeerthy for their active interaction. Dr Raghav Gadgil introduced and thanked the guest, while Vinita Mayenkar presented a memento of appreciation.
