The Department of Botany organized a field visit for T.Y.B.Sc. Botany students to Satpal Arboretum on 22 September 2026. The students were accompanied and guided by Dr. Shilpa Bhonsle for field identification and taxonomic study. On arrival at Satpal Arboretum, students were introduced to the importance and purpose of an arboretum and were familiarized with the site layout. The students then explored the various plots and documented the plant diversity maintained within the premises.

Conclusion: The field visit to Satpal Arboretum provided the T.Y.B.Sc. Botany students with invaluable practical learning experience, bridging theoretical taxonomy concepts from course BOT 300 with live field observations. The tour successfully achieved its educational objectives, enhancing the students’ practical plant identification skills and fostering awareness regarding botanical conservation
